The dream of an own slider...

A long time ago, me and my friends watched the DVD „Autofocus“. That was the beginning of our mission to build and rip our own slider. It took many month, till we start with the real planing. We met in a bar to design that project. First we wanted to build a small fun box, because that is cheaper that the big slider. But we thought a big one is more stylish and would look cooler to rip.
It took 3 days of „hard“ work until it was finished. We brought the slider to the beach early in the morning, because we needed low tide to fix it in the sea. We waited several hours till the water filled the lagoon. The time was right, it was warm and the tide was high. So we ripped the slider 5 hours that day. After a few problems in the beginnig it was super cool in the end. After that session we took the slider back home and had an „After-Slide-Beer“. After that we all went home, because it was hard to stay 12 hours on the beach and in the sun.
For me sliding is a new world in kiteboarding. It's super fun and if you protect yourself against heavy crashes on the rail, it'll be fun in the future for sure.
